Account Supervisor

Manifest Life is a division within Manifest solely focused on our healthcare clients, including Baylor Scott & White Health, Mayo Clinic, and the University of Michigan Health System. We are looking for an Account Supervisor who is a self-starter that would be responsible for developing strong client relationships through the implementation and measurement of strategic marketing programs. As Account Supervisor, you will be the key contact for the clients within your portfolio and will maintain a highly responsive service orientation in all interactions. Your portfolio will consist of pharmaceutical products, health systems, healthcare associations and other health-focused accounts. The Account Supervisor is expected to communicate with all members of the Manifest staff and become the knowledge and strategy center for all aspects of contracted services. This role is based in Chicago, and reports directly to the Senior Account Director.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manages own select client portfolio of complex, strategic accounts, while supporting team leadership on their accounts
  • Sells additional products and services to clients to grow revenue.
  • Participates in scheduling/workflow discussions.
  • Develops creative briefs, and leads meetings to launch new projects to ensure ongoing projects are meeting client objectives, brand strategy, timelines, budget and scope.
  • Takes responsibility for client orientation, retention and salvage efforts for their total book of business.
  • Creates an annual client growth plan including developing, analyzing and presenting an annual return on investment program.
  • Responsible for knowledge and maintenance of all current contracts and renewals within their total book of business.
  • Keeps apprised of all relevant client, industry and market developments.
  • Develops strategies and presentation materials required for client meetings, sales opportunities and client saves related to their total book of business.
  • Understands, predicts and communicates adjustments to East Coast portfolio lead of forecasted revenue by quarter within a fiscal year.
  • Works with clients to help them get the most out of their marketing plans (i.e., ensuring calls-to-actions lead to measurable outcomes, that the plan includes flexible to adapt to changing needs).
  • Ensures that work associated with scope creep is accounted for and billed.
  • Meets regularly with Strategic Content, Production, Interactive and Video to coordinate company efforts on behalf of assigned clients.
  • Monitors portfolio P&L and works with team to improve overall profitability.
  • Visits clients on-site at least once a year and on an as-needed basis.
  • Entertains clients during and after work hours when clients are in town.
  • Captures details from of all meetings, and updates account information in the appropriate systems
  • Works with finance department to ensure invoicing is delivered to the client and helps facilitate communications between finance and the client as needed.
  • Directs their own activities and as appropriate, delegates support activities to account managers or account service team members to ensure proper service to clients.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related business field
  • Minimum of five years of experience in marketing, consulting or agency environment
  • Has developed and executed strategic marketing plans
  • Demonstrated sales and business plan development ability
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and other workflow tools.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Self-starter who is looking to grow professionally
